ADAC's free program in school- and community-based prevention is part of our Philly Youth Making Positive Choices initiative, aimed at equipping Philadelphia youth with the tools to make positive, healthy choices
through social-emotional skills development, violence and substance misuse prevention, awareness of the harmful effects of risky behaviors, and practicing healthy alternatives.
ADAC provides free, year-round opportunities for youth to engage in enriching out-of-school-time (OST) programming that consists of educational, prevention-focused, and recreational activities for positive youth development. OST programming includes After School and Summer Camp programs based in Philadelphia schools.
Through Philly Families Thrive, ADAC offers free support services to families with children ages 0-18 years living in Philadelphia who are in need of support to improve the overall health and well-being of their families. Services include the Positive Parenting Choices Program and Family Advocacy.
ADAC's coalition focuses on the West and Southwest areas of Philadelphia, specifically zip codes 19104, 19139, 19142, and 19143. As a prevention-focused organization, ADAC is establishing a coalition whose purpose is to address and combat substance misuse and violence among youth and their families.
