ADAC Youth & Family Services provides a variety of free programs and services for the holistic wellbeing of youth, their families, and the community. Over the years, ADAC has serviced thousands of individuals and generations of families, through OST services, ATOD awareness, educational and recreational programs, parent empowerment courses, healthy meals, personal hygiene products, household goods, career readiness, social-emotional support and guidance, community resources and referrals, and much more. Today, we continue to foster holistic growth through school-based prevention programming, out-of-school-time (OST) programming, parent training and family advocacy, and community coalition-building. On the whole, ADAC's work embraces four domains throughout the process: providing information, education, alternatives, and resiliency.
ADAC strives to live out our mission by providing programs and services that continually work toward youth development, parent and family empowerment, and community engagement.

Additional Services:
ADAC offers presentations on topics such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and Power of Parents to spread awareness about the dangers of alcohol use during pregnancy and the risks of underage drinking, respectively. Contact us to learn more about our presentation offerings.
ADAC also regularly participates in community events to offer services, information, goods, and other resources to community members. Check out the ADAC-sponsored Peace + Unity = Community event from September 2022 here.
ADAC, since its inception, has been a community staple that serves as a safe haven and nurturing environment for youth throughout the year. Current youth-serving programs offered to ADAC-affiliated schools, community-based organizations, and other youth groups include: Philly Youth Making Positive Choices, a school- and community-based, evidence-based prevention program for K-12 students; and our year-round Safe Haven OST Program, which offers after-school and summer programming to K-6 students in Philadelphia schools.
ADAC serves Philadelphia parents who are in need of support to improve the overall health and well-being of their families through Philly Families Thrive. PFT's (formerly Parent & Family Support Services) offerings include the Positive Parenting Choices Program and Family Advocacy. Parents receive 1-on-1 support to build positive relationships with their children, receive assistance to reach family goals, and gain access to valuable resources and referrals as needed. ADAC also offers presentations to educate parents and families on the harmful effects of substances.
As a community-based organization, ADAC engages in partnership with community stakeholders and community members to jointly work toward meeting the needs of Philadelphia's residents. ADAC's coalition, Philadelphia United for Change (formerly West & Southwest Philadelphia United for Positive Changes), aims to prevent substance misuse and violence in youth and improve mental health. ADAC also believes in the value of hosting and participating in community events that provide safe and joyful spaces, resources, and other benefits to community members.
